RemNote is one of the few note apps with a real Anki export option. Here's how to use it correctly.

RemNote supports exporting flashcards in an Anki-compatible format directly from its document or flashcard settings menu. Export your rem (document) as a text or CSV file, then import that into Anki via File → Import, mapping the question field to Front and the answer field to Back. RemNote's cloze syntax generally carries over, but complex nested rem structures may need manual cleanup after import.
Open the document with your flashcards
Navigate to the rem or folder containing the cards you want to move. RemNote generates flashcards automatically from rems formatted with its Q&A or cloze syntax.
Use RemNote's export option
From the document's menu, choose the export option and select a plain text or CSV format. RemNote separates the question and answer sides, similar to Anki's own field structure.
Check the delimiter
Open the exported file in a plain text editor to confirm whether fields are separated by tabs or commas. You'll need to match this on Anki's import screen.
Import into Anki
File → Import, select the exported file, set the correct field separator, map the question field to Front and answer field to Back, choose Basic or Cloze, and click Import.
A note on nested rems
RemNote's hierarchical rem structure doesn't map cleanly onto Anki's flat Front/Back model. Deeply nested rems with multiple levels of context may export with extra formatting or lose some parent-child relationships. Review a sample of imported cards before importing an entire large document.
