StudySmarter has no built-in Anki export function. Here's the workaround that actually works.

StudySmarter does not provide a direct export to Anki or any other flashcard app. The workaround is to manually copy each term and definition into a spreadsheet, save it as a CSV file, and import that into Anki via File → Import, mapping the first column to Front and the second to Back. There is no shortcut for large decks since StudySmarter's flashcard view has to be copied by hand.
StudySmarter is built as a closed study platform: flashcards, notes, and practice tests all live inside its own ecosystem, and there's no export button in the flashcard set menu the way some competitors offer. If you want your cards in Anki for its spaced repetition scheduling, you have to move the content out manually.
Open your flashcard set in list view
In StudySmarter, open the set and switch to a list or table view if available, rather than the single-card flip view. This makes copying term/definition pairs faster.
Paste into a spreadsheet
Open Google Sheets or Excel. Put each term in Column A and its definition in Column B, one row per card.
Save as CSV (UTF-8)
File → Download → Comma-separated values in Sheets, or Save As → CSV UTF-8 in Excel. UTF-8 encoding prevents accented characters from turning into garbled symbols.
Import into Anki
File → Import, select your CSV. Map Field 1 to Front and Field 2 to Back, pick Basic or Cloze as the note type, choose your deck, and click Import.
Faster alternative if you have the source material
If your StudySmarter set was built from your own lecture notes or a textbook chapter, regenerating cards from that source with an AI tool is usually faster than copying cards one by one, and skips the manual CSV step entirely by exporting straight to a .apkg file Anki can import directly.
