Gizmo has no native export feature yet. Here's the workaround for getting your cards into Anki anyway.

Gizmo does not currently offer an export function, to Anki or anywhere else. To move your cards, copy the front and back of each card into a spreadsheet, then turn that into an Anki deck, either by importing a CSV into Anki or by pasting the two columns into a converter that builds the .apkg for you.
Skip the manual steps: use the free converter
Paste your copied Gizmo cards and download a ready-to-import .apkg. No CSV saving or field mapping in Anki, and fill-in-the-blank cards written as {{word}} become cloze cards.

The same answer appears on its article about managing decks. Until that ships, getting content out means copying it by hand rather than downloading a file. We last checked in October 2026.
Open your deck in Gizmo
Use Gizmo on a computer so copying is quicker. To see a card's full text, tap the three dots on the card and choose Edit.
Paste into a spreadsheet
Open Google Sheets or Excel. Column A gets the term, Column B gets the definition, one row per card.
Save as CSV (UTF-8)
File → Download → Comma-separated values in Sheets, or Save As → CSV UTF-8 in Excel, so accented characters and special symbols survive the import.
Import into Anki
File → Import, select the CSV, map Field 1 to Front and Field 2 to Back, choose Basic or Cloze, pick your deck, and click Import. Or skip this step: paste the two columns into the Gizmo to Anki converter and import the .apkg it gives you.
Faster alternative if you have the source material
If your Gizmo cards came from your own notes or a textbook, regenerating them from that source with an AI tool avoids the manual copy step entirely and can export directly to a .apkg file ready for Anki.
